Palmetto Bluff and Tyler Florence are teaming up for a another helping of Tyler Florence's Palmetto Bluff Lowcountry Celebration to pay homage to the delicious flavors and inspiring music of the Lowcountry and the South.
Events will include a champagne lunch cruise on the antique yacht Grace, wine tastings and symposiums led by wine experts, a block party in Palmetto Bluff’s Village featuring live music and delicacies prepared by Tyler Florence and other renowned guest chefs, a culinary festival on the Village Green featuring chefs, growers, vintners and brewers from around the Lowcountry and the nation, a traditional Lowcountry oyster roast, nightly fire pit gatherings complete with live music, and a Sunday breakfast feast. It's all "Music to your Mouth."

Thousands are drawn to this community each Saturday after Thanksgiving to celebrate this unusual food item that has been a southern tradition for over 100 years. Activities also include a parade, hawg-calling and strut contests, food and craft vendors, beauty pageant, carnival rides, an antique tractor show and a Chitlin Strut Idol Contest.
Still wonder what's a chitlin'? Chitlin's, a contraction of the word chitterlings are pig intestines, and the people of Salley fry them by the ton during the Chitlin' Strut.

Circa 1886’s Progressive Dinner, one of Charleston’s most popular holiday traditions for more than two decades, takes visitors by horse-drawn carriage to three of Charming Inns’ historic and elegant establishments all decorated in grand style for the holidays. Along the way, guests enjoy a four-course meal, including hors d’oeuvres with spiced rum apple cider and eggnog at the Kings Courtyard Inn; dinner with a choice of roasted trout or braised beef brisket as an entrée at Circa 1886 restaurant; and a wide selection of holiday desserts, such as a double chocolate peppermint Yule log and pumpkin praline cheesecake, at the John Rutledge House Inn.

Patrons can step inside the tale of “A Christmas Carol” as part of Circa 1886’s annual Dickens Dinner. A storyteller will regale diners with a lively retelling of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” while they enjoy a four-course Victorian England-inspired dinner. The menu includes Dickens-style specialties, such as “Bubble ‘n Squeak soup” and crispy plum pudding.

A celebration of the world beer culture, The World Beer Festival provides attendees a broad sampling of hundreds of beers from over 100 breweries.
The festival offers two four-hour sessions, noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. Standard admission to a single session is $40 in advance ($50 day of the event if available), which includes beer samples, music by local bands, educational sessions by industry experts, and a festival tasting glass. VIP admission adds entry to the VIP hospitality suite, including complimentary beer-themed food, select beers not available in the general tasting area, a commemorative glass, and separate entertainment. VIP admission is $75 in advance ($85 at the door if available). Tickets go on sale starting Wednesday, October 21. The Oyster Fest is a one day tribute to the mighty mollusk so many of us know and love. It is little wonder that the Oyster Festival has been the highlight of Charleston’s “January-doldrums” for the past 25 years. Early on Sunday morning, two gigantic tractor trailers
filled with 65,000 pounds of oysters roll onto the polo fields at Boone Hall Plantation. Oysters are sold by the bucket (approximately 3-4 dozen)/ Aside from plenty of oysters, there’s a “Food Court” offering taste-tempting selections from some of the Lowcountry’s most popular restaurants.
Activities Include: the Oyster Shucking Contest, Oyster Eating Contest, Oyster Recipe Contest and local live entertainment. There’s also a play area complete with jump castles and a petting zoo to keep your kids happy and having fun all day.
