Progressive Dinners
Circa 1886’s Progressive Dinner, one of Charleston’s most popular holiday traditions for more than two decades, takes visitors by horse-drawn carriage to three of Charming Inns’ historic and elegant establishments all decorated in grand style for the holidays. Along the way, guests enjoy a four-course meal, including hors d’oeuvres with spiced rum apple cider and eggnog at the Kings Courtyard Inn; dinner with a choice of roasted trout or braised beef brisket as an entrée at Circa 1886 restaurant; and a wide selection of holiday desserts, such as a double chocolate peppermint Yule log and pumpkin praline cheesecake, at the John Rutledge House Inn.
